 BONUS: 17 Essential Points For Identifying The True Church of Jesus Christ. <\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\nW<\/span>hen Jesus Christ was on the earth, He established His Church among His followers. After His Crucifixion and the deaths of His Apostles, the fulness of the gospel was taken from the earth because of widespread apostasy.<\/p>\n

Through the Prophet Joseph Smith, our Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ restored the fullness of the gospel. The true Church of Jesus Christ is on the earth again. Because of the Restoration<\/strong><\/a>, the teachings and ordinances necessary for salvation are available to all people.<\/p>\n

The following outline summarizes a few of the important events in the restoration of the gospel and the establishment of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which the Lord has declared is \u201cthe only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth\u201d (Doctrine and Covenants 1:30<\/a>).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Early spring, 1820.<\/strong> Seeking the true Church of Jesus Christ, 14-year-old Joseph Smith prayed<\/a><\/strong> in a grove of trees near his home in Palmyra, New York. In answer to his humble prayer, Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ visited him<\/a><\/strong> and told him that he must not join any of the churches on the earth at that time. (See Joseph Smith\u2014History 1:11\u201319<\/a>.)<\/strong> In the Church, we refer to this experience as Joseph Smith\u2019s First Vision<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

However, on April 6th, 1830,<\/strong> the church was restored. I\u2019m going to go through several scriptures that prove that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ\u2019s Church for the latter days. The true church has to meet the following or it cannot be of God. The restored church must meet or have the following according to the scriptures. Only \u201cThe Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints\u201d can make this claim on every key point.<\/p>\n

Approaching my eighteenth birthday, I was deeply moved by the understanding that the Bible offers support for the Book of Mormon, finding it to be truly remarkable. Though some may perceive it as one thing, its true meaning is something different. But as a young child; I was not influenced by the way of the world.<\/p>\n

While I am saddened by the number of people who will choose to ignore the truth, I respect everyone has the freedom to choose their own path. We stand at a crossroads, faced with a choice: embrace the truth and the light of Christ, or turn away and accept the consequences of our actions.<\/p>\n

I firmly believe that the scriptures I share are God\u2019s truth, as God is incapable of deceit. I am confident that through prayer and careful analysis, you will discover the truth about what the church should be, as I have detailed on this page the essential characteristics that are frequently overlooked. A prevalent pitfall that many people encounter is embracing false doctrines that are presented in an interesting and persuasive manner.<\/p>\n
